Options for Nashville Boat Rentals
Cruise the River and Lakes of Nashville!
Nashville has an amazing water presence, between the Cumberland River that flows through the downtown of Nashville and the two surrounding lakes that eventually flow into the Cumberland. While we understand the amazing river access Nashville has to offer, it may not be the first to come to mind when you think of Music City. Hopefully, in the near future, that presence starts to grow as the Nashville riverfront develops and can offer more riverfront activities and events. For now, take a look below at some of the best options for soaking up the sun on a boat rental!
Where to Rent a Boat in Nashville
Old Hickory Lake and Percy Priest Lake are both beautiful lakes that offer the ability to rent boats. These lakes are located about 30 minutes outside of Downtown Nashville. There are outfitters that offer a captain with the rental, but we suggest making sure to double check that with the individual boat rentals. While rentals are great, some customers opt to book the Pontoon Saloon in Downtown Nashville because there is a licensed captain and crew on board to take care of your every need, as well as keep you safe on the water, so you can enjoy yourself stress-free! With many different offerings, we are a great activity to utilize for any type of occasion, either public or private, such as a bachelor or bachelorette party, corporate outing, or birthday party!
Percy Priest Lake
Percy Priest boat rentals include several marinas, about 20-25 minutes from Downtown Nashville. These Marinas have a restaurant and the ability to rent boats for either a full or half day depending on availability. Depending on group size, you might be limited with options with smaller group capacity on these rentals. Luckily, the Pontoon Saloon can safely hold up to 45 passengers, so you can bring all of your friends and family to party along on this party barge, booze cruise, or Honky Tonk on the water!
Old Hickory Lake
Old Hickory Lake’s boat rentals are about 20-25 minutes east of Nashville, and there are great bars and restaurants in that area as well. What’s cool about this location is that you can take the rental boat from Old Hickory through the Locke to Downtown Nashville via the Cumberland River. We’d recommend only doing this if you have an experienced captain on board, as navigating the waterways takes a little bit of skill and knowledge. This is a great option to get out on the water and see Nashville in a unique way!
Pontoon Rental Nashville
Introducing a new sister business to Pontoon Saloon: Boat Rental Nashville! If you want to cruise the river on your own, Pontoon Rental Nashville offers a convenient, affordable option for boat rentals right in Downtown Nashville! Starting May 1, 2022, our 11-passenger 2019 Sun Chaser will be available to cruise the Cumberland, equipped with bimini tops, Bluetooth speakers, tables, and lounge seating. Lock One Marina is located in Downtown Nashville and is the closest pontoon boat rental option that gives you access to skyline views. Head downriver toward Blue Moon Waterfront Grille for lunch, or enjoy the amazing views through Ashland city. Rent our lily pad and anchor downriver, soaking up the sun on this 2019 SunChaser with 150HP outboard motor. Unlike Pontoon Saloon, this pontoon does not come equipped with a captain.
Take a Booze Cruise with Pontoon Saloon
Our two-hour cruises have both public and private options, meaning you can party with others in a lively, bar-like atmosphere, or you can bring the whole crew and make the cruise your own vibe! Some of our most popular public cruises include our Mimosa cruise and Sunsets & Skylines cruise. The Mimosa cruise is a great way to start your day on the water and avoid even letting the hangover affect you. Bring your favorite bottle of Champagne and we’ll provide the rest (juice, ice, cups, coolers, and entertainment). This one is perfect for bachelorette parties or early birds! On the other hand, we have our Sunsets & Skylines cruise that is great for a happy-hour moment as the sun sets behind the city skyline. Many locals, couples, or groups planning to head to Broadway for the night opt for this cruise!
If you prefer that private feel but want the safety of a licensed captain/crew, our luxury private cruises are great because they hold up to 45 passengers on our luxury style vessel, which is equipped with luxury style seating, turf, a full bar, and a sound system! Customize your cruise with catering, alcohol delivery, live music, premium transportation, and more!
With our convenient location right across from Lower Broadway, our guests can easily commute back and forth via the Pedestrian Bridge.
