Frequently Asked Questions

Rules of Conduct

The following actions are prohibited on the Pontoon Saloon. The staff has the discretion to deny boarding and remove any passengers or cancel the cruise if these rules are violated or if any inappropriate behavior is escalated. No refund will be issued. If individuals arrive overly intoxicated our staff has the discretion to deny them boarding for the cruise.

  • Indecent Exposure
  • Vomiting
  • Public Urination
  • Littering

For any vomiting, public urination, or littering on the Pontoon Saloon or dock, there will be a $250 fine charged to the card on file.

What is Pontoon Saloon's Cancellation Policy?

Our Cancellation policy is clearly stated online and in our terms and conditions, if you have questions about this policy please do not hesitate to email us or call. We will not issue any refunds for cancelations within the 14-day period, this includes if you or someone in your group contracts COVID. Thank you!

Public Cruise: The policy is a full refund 14+ days prior to your cruise date. If you cancel within 14 days of your cruise departure date there will be no refund. If you no show or if you are late for the cruise and miss the boat we will not provide a refund. The 14+ day cancellation policy applies to any change in the guest count for a reservation. Public Cruises include: Bach Party Cruise, Mimosa Cruise, Pontoon Party Cruise, & Sunset Party Cruise.

Private Cruise: The policy is a full refund 14+ days prior to the cruise departure date LESS the $500 non-refundable deposit. If you cancel within 14 days of the cruise date there will be no refund. Within the 14-day window, your cruise is 100% non-refundable.

Winter Private Cruise: For cruises booked between November 12th to March 12th, we offer a flexible cancellation policy in case of inclement weather. You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund minus a $100 non-refundable deposit. This deposit can be used as credit towards a future cruise.

WEATHER CANCELLATION POLICY

Our cruises operate rain or shine since 3/4 of the boat has a covered roof. If we cancel the cruise due to severe weather, we provide a full refund minus the booking fee or a full credit toward a future cruise. Do not assume your cruise is canceled due to severe weather, we will notify you prior to the cruise if it is canceled. We reserve the right to delay cruises as needed.

CHANGES TO EXISTING RESERVATIONS

If you need to cancel or make changes to an existing reservation, including adding or reducing the number of people in your party, please email us at info@pontoonsaloontn.com.

Pre-Purchase & Shuttle Cancellation Policy

Pre Purchase Add-ons: The Policy is a 2-week or 14-day cancellation notice prior to your cruise date, in order to receive a full refund for any beer or seltzer pre-purchases.

Shuttles: The Policy is a 2-week or 14-day cancellation notice prior to your cruise date, in order to receive a full refund for canceling a shuttle reservation.

BYOB Alcohol Policy

We allow Beer, Hard Seltzers, Wine, and Champagne only onboard the Pontoon Saloon. We do not allow beer in glass bottles (cans only) but we do allow wine and champagne in glass bottles. Glass items will be stored behind the bar and we have cups and fresh ice. We do sell buckets of Beer & Hard Seltzer (Miller Lite, Coors Light & Whiteclaw). Open containers are illegal in Nashville. Please plan appropriately, we do not allow the removal of opened cases of beer/seltzer from the boat due to city ordinance. Only unopened cases are allowed to be taken from the boat after your cruise. Please bring a bag if you need to take any alcohol with you. We do not provide bags.

Waiver

It is mandatory that each passenger fill out this waiver prior to boarding. The waiver is accessible from the booking confirmation email. If you did not book the tour please contact your group leader to email or text you the link to the waiver so we know who has signed for your reservation. It saves time, so please do this before you arrive, or your group will not board until it is completed. Once submitted you are done.

Is swimming allowed?

NO, the Pontoon Saloon does NOT allow swimming. The Cumberland River is a fast flowing river with a strong current. If anyone purposefully jumps overboard during their trip they will be fined up to $500.

What is the pontoon's capacity?

Our boats hold 45 Guests plus 2 crew members for private cruises and about 40 guests plus 2 crew members for public cruises.

What is the age limit and do I need my ID?

We ID before boarding. You must be 21 for any of our public cruises Private cruises we allow any age, obviously under 21 is not allowed to consume alcohol. Kids 4 and under are free.

What will we see?

You will cruise down the Cumberland River right in Downtown Nashville. We pick up and drop off right by the Titans’s Nissan Stadium.
The Nashville Skyline and beautiful bridges create a great landscape for that perfect group instagram!
These party cruises do embark and disembark from the downtown docks at 2 Victory Ave Nashville, TN 37213.

When is your operating season?

Our main season is March–November. During our winter season, which runs December–February, we offer discounted private cruise tours and limited public cruises on certain weekends. Please contact us for information on specific dates.

What's the difference between Public Cruises and the BACH Party Cruise?

Our public river boat tours include the Mimosa Cruise, Pontoon Party Cruise, and Sunsets & Skylines Cruise. These cruises have a bar atmosphere with mixed groups, dancing, drinking games, and fun music.

The Bach Party Cruise is a public cruise but it’s only for bachelorette & bachelor parties. There are typically around 4 different groups on the boat. This cruise includes a variety of beer and seltzers in the ticket price.

No Smoking Allowed

Smoking is not allowed on the boat.

Store Credit

If you receive store credit for your reservation, you can apply this towards another cruise within 1 year of your original reservation date. Store credit is circumstantial and deemed by our team only.

COVID Policy

Canceling your reservation due to Covid-19 does not mean a full refund unless you are outside of our 14-day cancellation policy. If you need to cancel due to contracting Covid, and you are within the 14-day window, our cancellation policy is still in effect. Please reach out to us as soon as possible, and we will work with you on options if we can refill your guest count.

While we do not require masks or proof of vaccination, the safety of guests and employees is our top priority.

Where is the dock?

All Cruises, unless stated otherwise in your confirmation email, embark and disembark from the downtown docks at 2 Victory Ave Nashville, TN 37213. Please review your confirmation email for the exact address and map details for your cruise departure location. Please call if you have any questions.

Restroom onboard?

Yes! We have thought of it all, a restroom is onboard! But PLEASE – no number 2’s on this cruise!

How early should I book my trip?

We recommend booking as soon as you decide on your cruise time. Especially if you have 8+ in your group you will want to book at least 45 days out. Our Friday & Saturday cruises sell out fast. We have limited availability for private cruise times Thursday – Saturday. We have more availability Monday – Wednesday for corporate outings, so we typically recommend booking within 30-45 days prior to your event date.

How early should I arrive before the cruise departs?

25 minutes prior to launch. You will need to check in, sign waivers, load all passengers and beverages, so be sure to give yourself enough time.

How long are the cruises?

Cruises are 2 hours. Private cruises have an option to add an extra hour depending on availability. Contact us for pricing.

Is there seating?

We have 25 chairs on board that are first-come first-serve. Keep in mind this is a booze cruise. We encourage everyone to mingle and there is plenty of room for dancing. No one sits in the chairs for 99% of our cruises.

Is there parking?

We are a simple 10-15 minute walk from the Broadway side of the river. Walking is generally recommended, as there are often many events going on downtown. If driving, we highly recommend that you take Uber/Lyft. We don’t want anyone drinking and driving! We don’t provide parking & parking is limited around the dock and Nissan Stadium due to events. Please plan a head and come early if you are driving. There are paid lots around the stadium that are a 10min walk to the dock.

Can we decorate the boat?

If you reserved a private boat you are welcome to decorate and set up any essentials you may need. Please reach out and get approval for any large items.
For public cruises, you are welcome to bring props/small party supplies.

What should I bring?

We are a bring your own beverage party cruise. We allow beer, wine, and champagne of your choice. Please only bring beer cans, NO GLASS beer bottles. We have plenty of ice, coolers and cups for everyone.
We would also recommend you bring mixers, sunscreen, water, and a good camera!
Please bring your ID for all public cruises as you must be 21.

What NOT to bring.

We supply the ice, coolers, & cups, you are welcome to bring your own coolers if easier but be sure to not forget them!
Liquor, Weapons, Glass beer bottles, drugs are not allowed and will be strictly enforced. If caught with drugs or weapons onboard the boat will immediately re-dock to remove passengers involved in such activities with zero refund.

Do you offer catered parties?

Private cruises can be catered and we offer alcohol delivery! Whether you want light appetizers, Nashville Hot Chicken, or BBQ, we can help supply for your event. We work with Hattie Bs Hot Chicken and, Martin’s BBQ. Please reach out to us for menus and pricing! We do not offer/ allow food on public cruises.

Private Cruises

We have tiered pricing for private cruises for up to 45 passengers. We offer catering and alcohol packages only on our private cruises. You can book a private river cruise for any group size, but we recommend doing so for groups of 16+ passengers.
public river boat cruise is always a good option, and it costs less if you have a smaller group and want to party with others!
