Open Positions

6 Pack & Masters Captains (Full / Part time opportunities)

We are Nashville’s premier Passenger Vessel in downtown Nashville along the Cumberland River. We provide 2-hour tours from Nashvilles Riverfront, our tours include music, a capacity up to 45 passengers, BYO, and beer sales options for our guests. We entertain many tourists, bachelor and bachelorette groups, and corporate team outings, 7 days a week. We strive to make our guest’s celebrations even more memorable.

Job Description:

Captains are responsible for the safe transportation of guests onboard our vessels as well as meeting the safety requirements, rules, and regulations we abide by to provide a safe and fun environment. Captains will also be actively engaged with guests as we welcome and offload new guests. Work in tandem with the deckhand to clean and prepare the boat for the next cruise. Pay is based on experience, tip split, and hourly / per cruise pay with the opportunity to work 5 days a week. 

 

Masters Captain: Minimum $25 an hour + tips
6-Pack Captain: Minimum $18 an hour + tips

Job Requirements: 

  1. Inland waters 25GT or greater masters license 
  2. Experience driving passenger’s vessels is a plus but not required can be trained 
  3. Ability to lift 30 pounds or greater 
  4. Must have a cell phone with texting capabilities and an active email address
  5. Excellent verbal and communication skills
  6. Experience in the tour, service, entertainment, or music industry is preferred but not required
  7. Must be available on the rotation of day & evening weekend shifts including holiday weekends (Friday-Sunday)
  8. Ability to problem solve & think on your feet
  9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  10. Comfortable being in an authoritative position over groups of people

Cruise Deckhand & Host

We entertain many tourists, bachelor and bachelorette groups, corporate team outings, etc.

Job Description:

We are looking for outgoing, fun, and responsible individuals. Must not be shy, have a desire to entertain, use a microphone to engage with guests, and provide elite customer service and experience all while upholding to a high standard of rules and etiquette aboard the vessels. Significant opportunity to make tips plus base pay per cruise while being outside and enjoying time on the water!

Job Requirements: 

  1. Must have a cell phone with texting capabilities and an active email address
  2. Excellent verbal and communication skills
  3. Experience in the tour, service, entertainment, or music industry is preferred but not required
  4. Understand music flow, Spotify, and entertainment
  5. Flexible schedule with either weekday or weekend availability regularly – can work with your schedule!

  8. Comfortable being in a host/guide for groups of people
  9. Pass random drug tests and background checks for pre-employment

Customer Experience & Social Media Coordinator

We are Nashville’s premier Passenger Vessel in downtown Nashville along the Cumberland River. We provide 2-hour tours from downtown riverfront, our tours include music, capacity up to 45 passengers, BYO, and beer sales options for our guests. We entertain many tourists, bachelor and bachelorette groups, corporate team outings, etc.

Job Description:

This role is available as a remote position, the preferred location is in or near Nashville to assist, strategize, and meet with team members regularly for training and updates. This position has a focus on the entire customer journey while incorporating marketing and social media responsibilities. Experience with business to consumer and tourism market is a plus but not required. Sales background and experience on phones are also helpful, you’ll be responsible for assisting guests with their reservations, understanding the options available, pricing, and pitching & coordinating our add-on services.  Organized & efficient with computer software such as Google (sheets, docs, forms, etc).

You will support staff with content creation and managing social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Later). Intermediate Social Media capabilities preferred. You will research and advise on a strategy to maximize social media channels and reach new audiences.

Must work well with others, self-starter, and likes having an opportunity to grow, learn and contribute to a small business! This is a great role for someone who wants a flexible schedule and is interested in a career in sales and marketing.

Hourly Pay + Bonus. Flexible schedule with weekday & weekend availability regularly – can work with your schedule!

Checkin Services & Dockmaster

We are looking to add a customer-focused team member to our dock staff! Pontoon Saloon & Lock One Marina Services (LOMS) are the premier Passenger Vessel & Marina manager in downtown Nashville. Located downtown on the East Bank of the Cumberland River at Nashville Riverfront Docks. We are looking for friendly and upbeat individuals to greet & check in customers and work on the docks. This position is flexible with a need for part-time & full-time and requires availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

 

Starting Pay: $15+/ Hour plus tips. Paid Time Off & Healthcare benefits available (full-time)

Flexible Hours: Day schedule varies based on the day of week Thursday – Sunday. 

What will you be doing?

  • Welcome and acknowledge all customers according to company standards
  • Check-in customers with company-provided software via handheld device (waivers signed, check ID’s) 
  • Anticipate and address guest’s service needs
  • Assist Captain & Crew with docking, disembarking passengers and turnover. 
  • Manage on-dock inventory, anticipate crew and cruise needs
  • Communicate with Customer Service & Management Team
  • Greet and & assist recreational boaters at the dock, and assist with docking location via DOCKWA on app device.
  • Remove waste bags to a nearby dumpster & ensure a clean dock
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
  • Work outside in the state’s elements and stand for an extended period of time 

 

What does a qualified candidate look like?

  • Pass a background check
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • High school degree
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Experience in or around boats is preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity
  • Ability to read and manipulate handheld tablets
  • Comfortable with physical demands of the role including bending, kneeling, balancing and carrying equipment up to 30 pounds
  • Positive, cooperative attitude with the capability of working unsupervised
  • Adhere to all safety policies
